1. Disable the SIR, if equipped. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling and SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the rear seat from the vehicle. Refer to Rear Seat Replacement .
3. Remove the rear seat back panel. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Trim Panel Replacement .

Module Assembly, Inflatable Restraint

Tip

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Fully deploy the module before disposal. If the module was replaced under warranty, fully deploy and dispose of the module after the required retention period. Refer to Inflator Module Handling and Scrapping .
