The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Customers with OnStar experiencing Intermittent no connect, dropped calls, Failed to Voice calls, long connect times or static on calls.
We have found several vehicles with the newer style lock antenna not fully seated on the module. The connector locking tabs which is also the outer ring of the coax have been found to be bent or pushed in. This can cause the previously mentioned concerns. Repair or replace the coax cable as needed.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
