Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1530697 Size: SH
  1. Remove the courtesy lamp lens.
  2. Remove the overhead console mounting screw.
  3. Grasp the overhead console and pull downward in order to disengage the fasteners.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the overhead console.

    5. Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws securing the garage door opener (2) to the overhead console.
  6. Remove the garage door opener (2) from the OnStar® button assembly. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  1. Position the garage door opener (2) to the overhead console.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the screws to secure the garage door opener (2) to the overhead console and tighten to 2 N·m (18 lb in) .

    3. Object Number: 1530697 Size: SH
  3. Connect the electrical connectors.
  4. Align the overhead console within the vehicle.
  5. Press up on the overhead console engaging the fasteners in order to secure the console to the vehicle.
  6. Install the overhead console mounting screw and tighten to 2 N·m (18 lb in) .
  7. Install the courtesy lamp lens.
  8. Refer to Control Module References for programming and setup information.
