The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
OnStar Tech 2 may not communicate with VCIM (while tech is attempting to do the "VCIM Set Up") shortly after TIS2WEB SPS programming has been preformed.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Engineering has found the OnStar VCIM may be receiving an inbound call to configure the unit at the time tech is trying to do a VCIM Set Up this can cause a Tech2 loss of communication event with the VCIM , The tech should wait 15 minutes and try to perform the VCIM Set Up again with Tech 2 .
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
