A revised gear and shaft was released for 1982 production idle speed control assemblies. Idle speed control assemblies with the new gear and shaft can be identified by a yellow dot on the housing near the shaft.
In order to provide these improvements for service assemblies, two service repair packages have been released to repair 1981 and 1982 idle speed control assemblies. Applications are as follows:

The repair kit contains a gear and shaft assembly, boot, grease, instruction sheet, and adjustment specifications.
The repair kit should only be used if the motor within the I.S.C. assembly runs, but the plunger does not extend or retract properly.
The repair kit will not correct conditions which cause the motor within the I.S.C. assembly not to run.

Do not claim J6410 (.5 hr.) plus T3097 (.3 hr.).
