Pontiac is continuing its "Partners In Quality," a Parts Return Program designed to obtain selected parts from Pontiac dealers for engineering analysis. All parts replaced under warranty should be returned as outlined below.
The purpose of "Partners In Quality" is to obtain samples of parts for engineering and production personnel to evaluate.
We are showing on the reverse side the most recent "Partners In Quality Parts Return List" and solicit your cooperation in posting it in the parts department.
The items listed should be returned immediately to the Pontiac F.E.W. Room whenever replacement is made. Emphasize to all personnel the importance of using the "Black" F.E.W. shipping label (Form 729) to the attention of P.I.Q. Each part should be tagged with the F.E.W. tag (Form 728) and properly filled out.
Place part in a sturdy carton and carefully wrap to prevent loss or damage in transit. Several parts may be shipped together. Freight reimbursement should be handLed on a Code "F" claim type. Refer to Page 13 in your Warranty Claim Preparation Manual. Ship cheapest way prepaid.
Pontiac dealers participating in this voluntary program will help provide parts for engineering evaluation and assist in continuing efforts to achieve the highest standard of product quality in the industry.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
