WIRE WHEEL COVER NOISE INSTALL NYLON CLIPS

VEHICLES AFFECTED: All Models With Wire Wheel Covers

Some wire wheel covers may have a snapping or creaking nolse when driving at low speeds. This noise may be caused by the wheel cover flexing on the wheel.

This condition can be corrected by using the following procedure.

1. Remove the wheel covers and place them upside down on a covered bench.

2. Centre punch and drill four (4) 1/2 inch holes evenly spaced in the wheel cover. See Figure 1. Holes should be drilled on the second step of the cover from the inboard side.

3. Install the four nylon clips, Part Number 411700 in the drilled holes.

4. Reinstall the covers.
