Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Remove the windshield wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement.
  3. Remove the wiper crank arm nut. Remove the wiper crank arm from the wiper motor.

  4. Object Number: 1235608  Size: SH
  5. Remove the wiper motor screws.
  6. Remove the wiper motor from the wiper drive system module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2141571  Size: SH
  1. Position the wiper motor to the wiper drive system module.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the wiper motor screws.
  4. Tighten
    8 N·m (71 lb in).

    Important: The new wiper motor comes pre-timed from the factory in the PARK position. Do Not energize the wiper motor prior to installation.

    If the wiper motor is energized, the wiper motor must be electrically returned to the park position, prior to installation.

  5. Install the wiper motor crank arm (1) and crank arm nut (2).
  6. Install the wiper motor crank arm at the 3:00 o'clock (a) position to the wiper motor as shown.
  7. Tighten
    19.5 N·m (14 lb ft).

  8. Install the windshield wiper transmission. Refer to Windshield Wiper Transmission Replacement.
  9. Install the air inlet grille panel. Refer to Air Inlet Grille Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
