Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1593197  Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  3. Lower the vehicle.
  4. Open the positive battery cable connection cover.
  5. Loosen the positive battery cable bolt.
  6. Remove the positive battery cable (1).

  8. Remove the front fender rear bracket to side rail bolts.

  9. Object Number: 1593324  Size: SH
  10. Remove the front fender to front fender rear bracket upper (1) and lower (2) bolts.
  11. Remove the front fender rear bracket.

  12. Object Number: 1593200  Size: SH
  13. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolt and retainer.
  14. Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.

  15. Remove the battery.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1593200  Size: SH

    Important: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during battery installation.

  1. Install the battery.
  2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the front fender rear bracket.
  6. Install the front fender rear bracket to side rail bolts.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  8. Install the front fender to front fender rear bracket upper (1) and lower (2) bolts.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  10. Install the positive battery cable (1).
  11. Tighten the positive battery cable bolt.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

  13. Close the positive battery cable connection cover.
  14. Install the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  15. Connect the negative battery cable (2). Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
