Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the front floor closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Replacement - Front .

    3. Object Number: 1602274 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).

    4. Object Number: 1602275 Size: SH
  4. Remove the VSS bolt (1).
  5. Remove the VSS (2).
  6. Remove the O-ring seal (3) from the VSS (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1602275 Size: SH
  1. Install the O-ring seal (3) to the VSS (2).
  2. Install the VSS (2) to the transmission.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the VSS bolt (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).

  4. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
  5. Install the front floor closeout panel. Refer to Floor Panel Tunnel Panel Replacement - Front .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
