Shift Indicator

Procedure

1. Grasp the edge of the shift indicator bezel by reaching under the bezel from the soft boot area. Lift the shift indicator bezel up to release the bezel from the instrument panel cluster trim plate.
2. Disconnect the shift indicator electrical connector.

Shift Control Range Select Lever Clip

Tip
Do not reuse the clip.

Shift Control Knob Retaining Screw

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip
Loosen the screw 3 turns. It is not necessary to fully remove the screw in order to remove the shift control knob from the shift control lever.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)

Passenger Assist Handle Bezel

Passenger Assist Handle Bolts (Qty: 2)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Assembly

Tip
Lift up lower edge of the instrument panel cluster trim plate assembly only enough to reach fingers underneath in order to release the shift lever bezel retaining tabs from the instrument panel cluster trim plate assembly.

Shift Lever Bezel

Tip
If replacing ONLY the shift lever bezel. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement .

Shift Indicator

Tip

1. Lift the shift control indicator up for access.
2. Disconnect the shift indicator electrical connector.

Shift Control Range Select Lever Clip

Shift Control Knob Retaining Screw

Tip
It is not necessary to fully remove the shift control knob retaining screw.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in).

Shift Control Knob

Tip
If replacing the shift control knob, remove the shift lever bezel from the shift control indicator. Refer to Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement .
