Preliminary Procedures

1. Reposition the hood insulator pad as required to access the hood ornament. Refer to Hood Insulator Replacement .
2. Remove the push nuts securing the hood ornament to the inside hood panel.
3. Using a J 25070 , warm the exterior hood ornament to a minimum of 21°C (70°F) to assist with the hood ornament adhesive tape removal and installation.

Adhesive Tape

Tip
When removing the protective liners from the adhesive tape, be careful not to touch the tape with hands and do not allow the tape to come in contact with dirt or any foreign matter prior to adhesion.

Hood Ornament

Tip
Secure the hood ornament with new push nuts in order to secure.
