Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) accessory trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement.
2. Remove the I/P compartment frame. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Opening Frame Replacement.
3. Remove the knee bolster assembly. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2.5 N·m (22 lb in)

Procedures

1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
2. When replacing the instrument lower trim panel, transfer all necessary components.
