- Remove the fluid pan and
the gasket (2). Refer to
Automatic Transmission Fluid and Filter Replacement
in this section.
- Remove the TV cable (2)
from the transmission case (3).
- Remove the electrical connectors from the torque convertor (TCC)
solenoid and the shift solenoid assembly.
- Remove the fifteen bolts
that attach the valve body (1) to the transmission case.
- Lift the valve body slowly
and disconnect the
TV cable (3) and the TV cable cam (2). Remove the valve body from the transmission
case.
- Remove the one bolt and the solenoid wiring harness from the transmission
case.
- Cover the accumulators
with a clean cloth.
- Apply low compressed air slowly to the fluid passages until the
air pressure forces the following items out of the case bores:
• | The second brake accumulator |
• | The direct clutch accumulator |
• | The forward clutch accumulator |
- Inspect the accumulator pistons for the following:
- Inspect the accumulator springs for the following:
- Inspect the piston seals for the following:
- Inspect the accumulator case bores for the following:
