Rear Bench Seat Replacement 2 Door

Removal Procedure

  1. Fold the rear seatback.
  2. Pull the rear seat release handle in order to raise the rear seat.

  3. Object Number: 351552  Size: SH
  4. Unclip the rear seat support rod (3) from the bottom of the seat.
  5. Support the rear seat.

  6. Object Number: 351558  Size: SH
  7. Gently pry the hinge cover (2) from each rear seat hinge (1).

  8. Object Number: 351564  Size: SH
  9. Remove the rear anchor bolt which secures each rear seat hinge (1).

  10. Object Number: 351567  Size: SH
  11. Remove the front anchor bolt which secures from each rear seat hinge (2).
  12. Remove the rear seat (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the rear seat to the vehicle. Secure the rear seat with 1 front anchor bolt to each rear seat hinge.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat front anchor bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  3. Install the hinge cover (2) to each rear seat hinge (1).

  4. Object Number: 351552  Size: SH
  5. Raise and support the rear seat with the rear seat support rod (3).
  6. Install the rear anchor bolt to each rear seat hinge.
  7. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat rear anchor bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  8. Clip the support rod to the bottom of each rear seat.
  9. Lower the seat.
  10. Raise the rear seatback into the upright position.

Rear Bench Seat Replacement 4 Door

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 351604  Size: LH
  1. Fold both rear seatbacks (14, 3).
  2. Remove the 2 rear seat hinge covers (9).
  3. Remove the 2 anchor bolts from each rear seat hinge (8).
  4. Pull the rear seat release handle.
  5. Remove the rear seat from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 351604  Size: LH
  1. Install the rear seat to the vehicle. Secure the rear seat with the 2 anchor bolts.
  2. Do not tighten the anchor bolts until the rear seat is properly aligned.
  3. Lower the rear seat in order to ensure proper alignment with both latch strikers.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Tighten the rear seat front anchor bolts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat front anchor bolts to 25 N·m (19 lb ft).

  7. Install the 2 rear seat hinge covers (9).
  8. Raise the rear seatbacks (14, 3) into the upright position.
