The rear suspension is a rigid axle, coil spring type system.

The rear suspension upper control arm (1) attaches to the differential carrier and to the body. The rear suspension upper control arm allows vertical axle movement and controls lateral axle movement. The rear suspension upper control arm also prevents axle rotation during vehicle acceleration and braking.

The coil springs (2) attach to the axle (4) and to the frame. The coil springs control the vehicle trim height.

The shock absorbers (3) attach to the axle and to the frame. The shock absorbers dampen road shock and vibration. The shock absorber is nonadjustable, nonrefillable, and cannot be disassembled.

The trailing arms (5) attach to the axle and to the frame. The trailing arms allow vertical axle movement and control longitudinal axle movement.
