Removal Procedure

Caution: The seat belt assembly and/or bracket assembly must be replaced as a unit only. Do not substitute parts for any reason, or personal injury could result.

Caution: To help avoid personal injury from unrepaired crash damage to a restraint system, perform the seat belt check for each seat belt system. Replace the seat belt system if there is any doubt about the condition of system components.

  1. Remove the front seat belt buckle anchor bolt.
  2. Remove the front seat belt buckle electrical connector (left side).
  3. Remove the front seat belt buckle (3) from the front seat frame.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the front seat belt buckle electrical connector (left side).

  2. Object Number: 183510  Size: SH
  3. Install the front seat belt buckle (1) to the front seat frame.

  4. Object Number: 183532  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Secure the front seat belt buckle (1) with one anchor bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the front seat belt buckle anchor bolt to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).
