Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 1998 🢒 Sun Runner - 4WD (Canada) 🢒 Restraints 🢒 SIR 🢒 Enabling the SIR System

  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Install the yellow 2-way connector and install the CPA to the inflatable restraint IP module pigtail (1).
  3. Connect the connector and lock the connector with the connector lock lever.

  4. Close the IP compartment.
  5. Install the yellow 2-way connector (1) and install the CPA (2) for the inflatable restraint steering wheel module and the steering wheel side cap.
  6. Connect the connector and lock the connector with the connector lock lever.
  7. Install the AIR BAG Fuse (3) to the fuse block.
  8. Staying well away from both air bags, turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Verify that the AIR BAG warning lamp flashes seven times and then stays OFF. If the AIR BAG warning lamp does not operate as described, refer to SIR Diagnostic System Check .
