1984 2000

"Please discard previous bulletin 84-3-13 dated 7/84, due to change in Warranty Information."

Some early 1984 2000's may exhibit a "squawking" noise which may be caused by the front stabilizer bar bushing when they are subjected to significant jounce/rebound suspension motions. Vehicles experiencing the "squawking" noise can be repaired by installing two (2) new insulators from the following part number list:

Old Part Number New Part Number Stabilizer Bar Diameter --------------- --------------- ----------------------- 14076617 14085145 24mm (0.945 inches) 14076619 14085147 28mm (1.102 inches) 14076620 14085148 30mm (1.181 inches)

Vehicles built after the following breakpoints should not exhibit the "squawking" noise: EJ202110 E7220212

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
