BLUSHING EXTERIOR W / DISPERSION LAQUER PAINT

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985 A,B,G,J AND T CARS

This bulletin rescinds Product Service Bulletin 85-2-159 dated October 14/85.

The paint condition described in Product Service Bulletin 85-2-159 would only occur during the first few months after the car was produced. The last affected vehicles were produced in July 1985. Therefore, after more than one year from the date of manufacture, it is unlikely that the contamination described in 85-2-159 could materialize.

For this reason, no further claims will be accepted for blushing exterior finish under operation T0132.

All future paint claims shall be resolved in accordance with policies and procedures applicable to 1985 models.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
