The wheel alignment specifications shown on page 3A-3 of the 1986 Sunbird Service Manual have changed. Please use the specifications shown below instead of those on page 3A-3.

Toe (degrees/wheel) 0 DEG +/- 0.2 DEG SumToe (see note B) 0 DEG +- 0.3 DEG Steering Wheel (see note A) 0 DET +- 5.0 DEG Camber 0.8 DEG +/- 1.0 DEG Cross Camber (L-R) 0 DEG +/- 1.0 DEG Caster 1.7 DEG +/- 2.5 DEG *Cross Caster (L-R) 0 DEG +/- .75 DEG

A. Measured with front individual toes equal

B. 215/60Rl4 tires; Sum Toe spec. is -0.12 DEG +/- 0.20 DEG

Vehicle must be jounced three times before checking alignment to eliminate false geometry readings.

*Cross-car caster can affect leads and pulls and is the principle setting to achieve in service
