1981-90 ALL MODELS
The attached driveability worksheet has been developed between Pontiac Service and the Engineering groups.
The purpose of this worksheet is two fold; first is to aid the Service Writer when talking to a customer who has complained of a driveability concern so a clear explanation for diagnostic purposes can be given to the technician, the second is if the driveability concern develops into a need to change the prom, Calibration Engineering needs this specification information. At this point it will be necessary to return these sheets at TAC's request. The driveability sheet, when filled out, contains the information the engine calibration people need to start the development process for a fix.
These work sheets, Form # 7201-154(2-90), will be available thru the normal order process in pads of 50. We believe that the use of these worksheets will reduce comebacks and increase our "Fix It Right The First Time" effort.
General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
