SOME OWNERS MAY COMMENT ON A CLUNK NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE WHILE RIDING OVER LARGE BUMPS OR POTHOLES.
THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARM TO SUSPENSION SUPPORT BOLT MAY ALLOW THE BUSHING TO MOVE ENOUGH TO PRODUCE A CLUNK NOISE.
INSPECT LOWER CONTROL ARM FOR PROPER TIGHTENING SPECIFICATION. THE SPECIFICATION HAS BEEN INCREASED FROM 120 N.M (89 FT. LB.) TO 120 N.M PLUS 180 DEGREE ROTATION. CHECK THE STATIC TIGHTENING SPECIFICATION TO ENSURE 160 N.M (118 FT. LB.) - 230 N.M (170 FT. LB.).
