Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to General Vehicle Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

  3. Object Number: 104523  Size: SH
  4. Remove the vehicle speed sensor bolt.

  5. Object Number: 104524  Size: SH
  6. Remove the vehicle speed sensor from the case extension.

  7. Object Number: 104525  Size: SH
  8. Remove the O-ring from the vehicle speed sensor.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 104525  Size: SH
  1. Install the O-ring onto the vehicle speed sensor.

  2. Object Number: 104524  Size: SH
  3. Install the vehicle speed sensor into the case extension.

  4. Object Number: 104525  Size: SH
  5. Install the vehicle speed sensor bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Connect the electrical connector.
  8. Lower the vehicle.
