Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 165423  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  2. Remove the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear window panel trim (Coupe and Sedan only). Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  4. Remove the rear seat belt retractor anchor plate bolt.
  5. Remove the rear seat belt retractor bolt (1).
  6. Remove the rear seat outer retractor side belt.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 165423  Size: SH

    Important: Remove any twists in the seat belt webbing before final assembly.

  1. Install the rear seat outer retractor side belt.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the rear seat belt retractor bolt (1).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor bolt to 36 N·m (27 lb ft).

  5. Install the rear seat belt retractor anchor plate bolt.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat belt retractor anchor plate bolt to 42 N·m (31 lb ft).

  7. Install the rear window panel trim (Coupe and Sedan only). Refer to Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.
  8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  9. Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Cover Replacement in Seats.
