Go to Backup Lamp System Check

1. Block the wheels or set the parking brake.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.
3. Disconnect the backup lamp switch (M/T) or the park/neutral position switch (A/T).

Do the backup lamps turn off?

Go to Step 3

Go to Step 4

Replace or adjust the backup lamp switch (M/T) or the park/neutral position switch (A/T).

Repair the short to B+ in CKT 24. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
