  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the rear window lockout switch in the OFF position.
  3. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector C2. Use a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between terminal H and ground.
  4. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

  1. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector C2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal C and ground.
  2. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

  1. Disconnect the left rear window switch.
  2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the left rear window switch harness connector and ground.
  3. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

  1. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal G of the left rear window switch harness connector and ground.
  2. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Repair the open in CKT 169 between the master window switch and the left rear window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a fused jumper between terminal A and terminal B of the left rear window switch harness connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between terminal C and terminal G of the left rear window switch harness connector.
  3. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP and DOWN positions.

Repair the open in CKT 168 between the master window switch and the left rear window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Reconnect the left rear window switch.
  2. Disconnect the left rear window motor.
  3. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the left rear window motor harness connector and ground.
  4. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

  1. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal B of the left rear window motor harness connector and ground.
  2. Place the left rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Repair the open in CKT 669 between the left rear window switch and the left rear window motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
