Did you perform the Power Windows System Check?

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Place the rear window lockout switch in the OFF position.
  3. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector C2. Use a J 39200 Digital Multimeter (DMM) in order to measure the voltage between terminal F and ground.
  4. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Go to Step 3

  1. Backprobe the master window switch harness connector C2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal E and ground.
  2. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

  1. Disconnect the right rear window switch.
  2. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the right rear window switch harness connector and ground.
  3. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

  1. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal G of the right rear window switch harness connector and ground.
  2. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

Repair the open in CKT 171 between the master window switch and the right rear window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a fused jumper between terminal A and terminal B of the right rear window switch harness connector.
  2. Connect a fused jumper between terminal C and terminal G of the right rear window switch harness connector.
  3. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP and DOWN positions.

Does the right rear window operate?

Repair the open in CKT 170 between the master window switch and the right rear window switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Replace the right rear window switch. Refer to Front Side Door Window Switch Replacement .

  1. Reconnect the right rear window switch.
  2. Disconnect the right rear window motor.
  3. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal B of the right rear window motor harness connector and ground.
  4. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the DOWN position.

Does the voltage equal the specified value?

B+

  1. Use the J 39200 DMM in order to measure the voltage between terminal A of the right rear window motor harness connector and ground.
  2. Place the right rear window switch on the master window switch in the UP position.

Repair the open in CKT 671 between the right rear window switch and the right rear window motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
