Removal Procedure
  1. Close the sunroof.
  2. Remove the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the sunroof motor. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  4. Remove the rivet from the sunroof cable wear plate.

    5. Object Number: 280687 Size: MH
  5. Remove the sunroof cable wear plate (14).
  6. Remove the sunroof track screws.
  7. Remove the sunroof drive tube retainer (10).

    8. Use a flat bladed tool.

  8. Remove the sunroof track.
  9. Remove the drive cable.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the sunroof drive cable.
  2. Install the sunroof track.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the sunroof track screws.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the sunroof track screws to fully driven and fully seated. Do not strip the screws.

  4. Install the sunroof cable wear plate (14).
  5. Install the rivet to the sunroof cable wear plate.
  6. Install the sunroof motor. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
  7. Install the sunroof module. Refer to Power Sunroof Module Replacement .
