For 1990-2009 cars only
- Grasp the input shaft and insert the direct and forward clutch assembly (610, 624) into the case.
- The forward clutch splines must engage the input internal gear splines.
- Place a large screwdriver or other straight edge on the case.
- Measure the distance between the top of the direct clutch housing (610) and the case cover flange.
- If the measurement is less than 42 mm (1-11/16 in), the clutches are not fully seated in the case.
