Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) assembly.
  3. Remove the governor compression ring.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) assembly.
  2. Lower the vehicle.
  3. Adjust the transmission oil level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .
