Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2001 🢒 Sunfire 🢒 Restraints 🢒 SIR 🢒 Enabling the SIR System

    Object Number: 202118 Size: SH
  1. Remove the key from the ignition switch.
  2. Connect the inflatable restraint IP module inline connector located under the instrument panel, left of the steering column.

    3. Object Number: 202113 Size: SH
  3. Install the connector position assurance (CPA) to the inflatable restraint IP module inline connector.

    4. Object Number: 202110 Size: SH
  4. Connect the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector located under the instrument panel, left of the steering column.

    5. Object Number: 202105 Size: SH
  5. Install the CPA to the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil connector.

    6. Object Number: 202097 Size: SH
  6. Install the AIR BAG fuse to the LH IP wiring harness junction block.
  7. Install the LH IP outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
  8. Staying well away from both air bags, turn ON the ignition.
    9. 8.1. The AIR BAG indicator will flash seven times.
    8.2. The AIR BAG indicator will then turn OFF.
  9. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - SIR if the AIR BAG indicator does not operate as described.
