    Object Number: 20781  Size: SH
  1. Inspect the low and reverse fluid pipe (139) for the following:
  2. • Dents or pinches
    • A plugged passage
  3. Inspect the seal backup washer (144) for nicks or damage.

  4. Object Number: 15724  Size: SH
  5. Install the backup washer (144) and a new seal (145) onto the low and reverse pipe (139).
  6. Install the pipe into the case.
  7. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  8. Install the pipe retainer (143) and the bolt (142) into the case.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  10. Install the parking lock bracket (710) and finger start one bolt (712).
  11. Install the dip stick stop and filter bracket (711) and finger start the other bolt (712).
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the two bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  13. Inspect the oil weir (147) for cracks or bends.
  14. Inspect the oil weir retainer (146) and the governor oil pipe retainer (143) for damage.

  15. Object Number: 15723  Size: SH
  16. Install the oil weir (147) into the case.
  17. Install the governor oil pipe retainer (143), the oil weir retainer (146), and the bolt (142).
  18. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
