Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 386648  Size: SH
  3. Remove engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .

  4. Object Number: 64463  Size: SH
  5. Remove motor mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .
  6. Raise engine to access tensioner bolt.

  7. Object Number: 182863  Size: SH
  8. Remove tensioner bolt and tensioner

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 182863  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the tensioner and bolt.
  2. Tighten
    Tighten bolt to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).

  3. Lower engine to original position.

  6. Object Number: 386648  Size: SH
  7. Install engine mount strut. Refer to Engine Mount Strut Replacement .
  8. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
