Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 279004  Size: SH
  1. Remove upper extension trim panel screw.
  2. Remove the trim panel from the inner door.

  3. Object Number: 279005  Size: SH
  4. If equipped with a manual mirror, slide the trim panel off the mirror handle.

  5. Object Number: 279006  Size: SH
  6. If equipped with a power mirror switch, loosen the Allen set screw. on the inside of the trim panel.
  7. Remove the switch assembly from the trim panel.

Installation Procedure

  1. If equipped with a power mirror, align the spline on the switch assembly to the trim panel.

  2. Object Number: 279006  Size: SH
  3. Install the switch assembly into the trim panel until fully seated.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Begin tightening the set screw for the power mirror switch.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the Allen set screw to 1.4 N·m (12 lb in).

  7. If equipped with a manual rear view mirror, slide the panel over the mirror handle.

  8. Object Number: 279004  Size: SH
  9. Position the upper trim finish panel to the inner door.
  10. Install the upper trim panel screw.
  11. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 1.3 N·m (12 lb in).
