Removal Procedure
A clear waterproof sound deadener deflector is used to seal the door
inner panel and prevent entry of water into the body. The deflector is secured
to the door inner panel with pressure-sensitive adhesive located on the outboard
surface of the deflector. This allows the deflector to be peeled back as
needed, to service the door components.
- Remove the door trim panel. Refer to

.
- Remove the front door
radio speaker (5), if sedan. Refer to
Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement
in Entertainment.
- Remove the armrest bracket (3). Refer to
Armrest Bracket Replacement
.
- Disconnect the power rear view mirror electrical connector, if
equipped.
- Pull the water deflector from the door.
Installation Procedure
- Route the electrical connectors
through the existing holes in the water deflector.
- Install the water deflector to the door inner panel by aligning
it to the door. Use a roller around the periphery of the deflector to ensure
the proper seating.
- Install the front door radio speaker (5). Refer to
Radio Front Side Door Speaker Replacement
in Entertainment.
- Install the armrest bracket (3). Refer to
Armrest Bracket Replacement
.
- Connect the power rear view mirror electrical connector, if equipped.
- Install waterproof tape to any damaged areas of the deflector.
- Install the door trim panel. Refer to
