Service Engine Soon Light with DTC P0130 , P0134 and/or P0135 - kw oxygen sensor connector SES

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom described in the PI.

Service Engine Soon Light with DTC P0130, P0134 and/or P0135.

Some 2002 Cavaliers, Sunfires and Aleros with VIN 4 2.2L engines that were manufactured prior to August 27th, 2001 may not have a Position 1 Oxygen Sensor Connector CPA (connector lock). This may result in a poor connection at the Position 1 Oxygen Sensor Connector. If any of the above DTCs are encountered due to a poor connection at the Position 1 Oxygen Sensor and it is the result of a missing CPA, install a new CPA, part number 12020833, to repair the poor connection and prevent a reoccurrence.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance.
