Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2003 🢒 Sunfire 🢒 Suspension 🢒 Front Suspension 🢒 Front Wheel Bearing and Hub Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and support the vehicle . Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

    3. Object Number: 189132 Size: SH
  3. Remove the drive axle nut. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement in Wheel Drive Shafts
  4. Remove the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  5. Remove the mounting bolts (1) from the hub and bearing assembly (3).

    6. Object Number: 189138 Size: SH
  6. Remove the hub and bearing assembly (1) from the steering knuckle (2) and drive axle shaft.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 189138 Size: SH
  1. Install the hub and bearing assembly (1) into the steering knuckle (2) and drive axle shaft.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 189132 Size: SH
  2. Install the hub bearing mounting bolts (1).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  3. Install the brake rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement in Disc Brakes.
  4. Install the drive axle shaft nut. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement in Wheel Drive Shafts.
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
