Right Front Speaker Rattle (Install Foam)

Some customers may comment that the right front speaker rattles.

The upper trim panel extension, (cover for the exterior mirror fasteners) may be rattling and may be misdiagnosed as a defective speaker.

1. Remove the trim panel upper extension. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement-Upper Extension, SI Document ID #1043347.
2. Add a 35 mm (3/8 in) long piece of foam under the lower front corner of the trim panel extension. Place the foam 1.5 mm (1/16 in) from the front edge of the extension and 8.5 mm (3/8 in) up from the bottom edge. Refer to the illustration above.
