Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 165423  Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear window panel trim. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the rear seat cushion, if necessary. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat belt retractor anchor plate bolt.
  4. Remove the retractor anchor plate from the floor.
  5. Remove the retractor bolt (1).
  6. Lift up to remove the retractor from the rear shelf.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 165423  Size: SH
  1. Align the retractor locating tabs to the openings in the rear shelf.
  2. Install the retractor to the rear shelf.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the retractor bolt (1).
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 28 N·m (21 lb ft).

  6. Install the retractor anchor plate to the floor pan.
  7. Install the retractor anchor plate bolt .
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 48 N·m (35 lb ft).

  9. Install the rear seat cushion, if necessary. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement in Seats.
  10. Install the rear window panel trim. Refer to Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Check the rear seat retractor belt for proper operation.
