Defroster Grille Replacement Chevrolet

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 607138  Size: SH
  1. Remove the screw from the front of the defroster grille.
  2. Remove the defroster grille (1) using a small flat-bladed tool from the instrument panel (I/P) (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the defroster grille (1) to the I/P (2), pressing into place until fully seated.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the screw to the front of the defroster grille.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2.3 N·m (20 lb in).

Defroster Grille Replacement Pontiac

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 875655  Size: SH
  1. Release the defroster grille (2) retainers using a small flat-bladed tool.
  2. Remove the grille (2) from the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim pad (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 875655  Size: SH
  1. Position the grille (2) to the I/P trim pad (1).
  2. Install the grille (2) to the I/P trim pad (1), pressing into place until fully engaged.
