********************************************************************** IMPORTANT: 'GM OF CANADA DEALERS' ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO UTILIZE THIS SERVICE BULLETIN. **********************************************************************
IN AN EFFORT TO SIMPLIFY AND STANDARDIZE COMMUNICATIONS TO DEALERS, THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN SYSTEM INCLUDING THE DEALER BULLETIN IS BEING COMMONIZED TO REFLECT ALL INFORMATION, REGARDLESS OF THE NUMBER OF CARLINES AND/OR DIVISIONS INVOLVED, INTO ONE DOCUMENT.
THE COMMON CAMPAIGN BULLETIN WILL FOLLOW A SIMILAR FORMAT AS THE CURRENT GM SERVICE BULLETINS, THE AFFECTED DIVISIONS' LOGO WILL APPEAR IN THE HEADING OF THE BULLETIN. ALL VERBIAGE IN THE BULLETIN WILL APPLY TO ALL VEHICLE LINES. ANY EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CLEARLY NOTED IN THE APPROPRIATE SECTIONS.
THE COMMONIZATION OF THE CAMPAIGN BULLETIN WILL ULTIMATELY ELIMINATE DUPLICATE MAIL, READING, AND FILING BY DEALERS THAT HAVE MORE THAN ONE FRANCHISE. THE COMMON CAMPAIGN BULLETIN FORMAT WILL BEGIN IN MAY, 1996, HOWEVER, MULTIPLE MAILINGS WILL NOT BE DISCONTINUED UNTIL LATER THIS YEAR. THIS IS ONE OF SEVERAL CHANGES REGARDING CAMPAIGN ACTIVITY THAT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED DURING THE NEXT MONTHS. YOU WILL BE ADVISED AS EACH CHANGE IS IMPLEMENTED.

GENERAL MOTORS BULLETINS ARE INTENDED FOR USE BY PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIANS, NOT A "DO-IT-YOURSELFER". THEY ARE WRITTEN TO INFORM THOSE TECHNICIANS OF CONDITIONS THAT MAY OCCUR ON SOME VEHICLES, OR TO PROVIDE INFORMATION THAT COULD ASSIST IN THE PROPER SERVICE OF A VEHICLE. PROPERLY TRAINED TECHNICIANS HAVE THE EQUIPMENT, TOOLS, SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND KNOW-HOW TO DO A JOB PROPERLY AND SAFELY. IF A CONDITION IS DESCRIBED, DO NOT ASSUME THAT THE BULLETIN APPLIES TO YOUR VEHICLE, OR THAT YOUR VEHICLE WILL HAVE THAT CONDITION. SEE A GENERAL MOTORS DEALER SERVICING YOUR BRAND OF GENERAL MOTORS VEHICLE FOR INFORMATION ON WHETHER YOUR VEHICLE MAY BENEFIT FROM THE INFORMATION.
