Customer comments of rattles in the rear compartment on 1987 Beretta, Tempest and Corsica styles may be due to the jack extension/socket falling out of the retaining clip and laying next to the spare tire.
This condition can be repaired by installing a new clip to the underside of the spare tire cover and installing additional anti-rattle pads.
The new clip, P/N 10082216, is retained to the underside of the spare tire cover with 2 plastic retainers, P/N 480534.
After replacing the clip and retainers, locate and install anti-rattle pads (recommended material - *Dominion Sure Seal Adhesive Back Shim-Stock RAB 1 - size 1" x 1/4" or equivalent) as shown in Figure 2. These pads will preveni extension/socket rattling on the underside of the spare tire cover.
Use the most applicable labour operation froin the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim 0.3 hours.
