--------- Some owners of 1993 "L" vehicles (4-door export only) may experience a condition where condensation may collect in the rear license plate lamp housings.
----- Inadequate ventilation not allowing moisture to escape.
---------- Drill vent hole in lamp housing.
1. Remove the two screws and lens on right and left lamp housings.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors.
3. Remove right and left housings from license plate pocket.
4. Drill one 2mm (3/32") hole in each housing as shown in the illustration.
5. Seal exposed metal with appropriate paint making certain vent hole is not covered.
6. Reconnect electrical connectors.
7. Re-install right and left housings.
8. Re-install lens and screws.
