For 1990-2009 cars only
- Inspect the shaft to see if it is visibly bent or damaged due to twisting. If any of these conditions apply, the propeller shaft requires replacement.
- If the propeller shaft assembly has no visual physical defects and the propeller shaft phasing inspection procedure indicated that the rear propeller shaft was out of phase, perform the following:
| 2.1. | Remove the yoke from the splined shaft and determine if it is possible to correct the out of phase condition by reinstalling the yoke in a different position on the splined shaft. |
| 2.2. | If it is possible to reinstall the yoke in a different position on the splined shaft, determine the correct location, reinstall the yoke to the splined shaft, and reinspect the phasing of the propeller shaft. |
| 2.3. | If it is not possible to reinstall the yoke in a different position on the splined shaft and the propeller shaft phasing inspection procedure indicated that the propeller shaft was out of phase, the defective propeller shaft requires replacement. |
