Circuit/System Description

The vehicle navigation radio provides verbal directions to the driver through the radio speakers. The navigation radio sends an audio voice signal on the same circuits as the normal audio signals.

Circuit/System Verification

  1. Ignition ON, verify the radio is operating normally.
  2. If the radio audio is distorted or inoperative, refer to Speakers Inoperative - One or More.
  3. Drive the vehicle and activate the Navigation System by choosing a navigation route.
  4. Verify the voice guidance is operating properly.
  5. If the voice guidance is not operating properly, replace the radio.
