Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1647772  Size: SH
  1. Remove the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .

  2. Object Number: 1646777  Size: SH
  3. Remove the heater core cover screws from the evaporator case assembly.
  4. Remove the heater core cover from the evaporator case assembly.

  5. Object Number: 1648497  Size: SH
  6. Remove the heater corefrom the HVAC module.

  7. Object Number: 1646788  Size: SH
  8. Remove the evaporator case assembly screws from the blower case assembly.
  9. Remove the evaporator case assembly from the blower case assembly.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1647772  Size: SH
  1. Install evaporator case assembly to the blower case assembly.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install evaporator case assembly screws to the blower case assembly.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  5. Install heater core to the HVAC module.

  6. Object Number: 1646777  Size: SH
  7. Install heater core cover.
  8. Install heater core cover screws.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.5 N·m (13 lb in).

  10. Install the HVAC module. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement .
