Some early model 1990 Trans Sport models may exhibit wavy or puckered outer belt sealing strips on the front doors. This condition may be noticed in the curved section of the seal strip.
This condition may be addressed by using the following procedure and it will not be necessary to replace the outer belt seal strips.
1. Raise the door glass to full up position.
2. Using a heat gun, carefully heat the outside surface of the seal strip.
3. Using a cloth to protect finger tips, carefully press the wavy or puckered area to better conform to the glass surface.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
