SOME 1990-94 U-VANS AND "A AND W" CARS WITH ENGINES INDICATED BELOW, MAY EXHIBIT A SQUEAK NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THIS CONDITION IS MOST EVIDENT DURING A "GARAGE SHIFT" MANEUVER, BUT MAY OCCUR DURING ANY MANEUVER OR ACTION THAT RESULTS IN A VEHICLE ROCKING MOTION SUCH AS ENTERING OR EXITING A VEHICLE.

MOVEMENT BETWEEN THE EXHAUST SEAL AND THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND/OR THE EXHAUST PIPE GENERATES A NOISE CONDITION.
INSTALL DAMPACK DAMPERS, P/N 10218583 (TWO REQUIRED) AND WASHERS, P/N 2441143 (TWO REQUIRED) IN PLACE OF THE EXISTING EXHAUST MANIFOLD PIPE SPRINGS AS SHOWN IN THE ILLUSTRATION.
PARTS ARE CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FROM GMSPO.
