SUBJECT: CRUISE CONTROL "RESUME" OPERATION (INFORMATION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992 CHEVROLET LUMINA APV 1992 PONTIAC TRANSPORT 1992 OLDSMOBILE SILHOUETTE

Some owners of 1992 U-vans may comment that the cruise control "resume" feature does not always work. The cruise control system on the 3800 (VIN Code L) engine will lose the set speed if the transmission is placed in "park" with the ignition key still on. The cruise control on the 3.1L (VIN Code D) engine will retain the set speed under the same condition.

No attempt should be made to change this operation. The Owner's Manual will be updated with the next printing revision.
